Foodservice Update

Pizza Recipe Contest The finalists for the contest have been chosen and will fly to the Culinary Institute in Napa on May 2 nd for the final stage of the contest. The finalists are from all over the country and the recipe titles include: Harvest, Sei Cheese White Pie, St. Patty’s Irish Pub, Bandera de fusion, Carnitas Street Taco Pizza, Holy Mole, Super Chorizo con Papa, The Chard to Resist, The Kaleifornia, and the Napa Grandma. Global Plant-Forward Culinary Summit Nancy Campbell will be attending this summit on May 1-3 to ensure that we are not being left out of the discussion and that dairy will continue to be an essential part of any flexitarian or plant-forward diet. We will be able to report more about this event at the May board meeting. US Foods & Distributor Volume Incentive Program US Foods has signed an agreement, following in the footsteps of our successful Sysco program to utilize earned marketing funds in 2019. Marketing events include: Culinary Institute program and CA farm tours for key US Foods customers and staff, as well as participating in key internal shows and meetings together.
