BRACHY

POST-OPERATIVE RADIOTHERAPY ABSOLUTE INDICATIONS 1. Microscopically involved mucosal margins of resection. 2. Extra capsular extension of nodal disease (ECE). RELATIVE INDICATIONS: 1. Close resection margins of the primary, that is <5 mm. 2. Histological evidence of metastasis in two or more nodes. 3. pT3–pT4 tumors with negative margins (except for pT3 larynx).

4. Oral cavity or oropharynx with level IV–V N+. 5. Perineural involvement or microvascular emboli .
