CONCLUSIONS - I

• Brachytherapy is an efficient and well tolerated treatment that offers excellent cosmesis and low toxicity for skin cancer patients. • BT schedules offers options of shorter overall length of the treatment, with better patience compliance, particularly in the elderly group. • Carefully tailored BT is a good alternative, if not the treatment of choice for those lesions that cannot be safely removed by surgery. • Randomized controlled trials, systemic reviews and meta-analysis are lacking in literature.
