We also celebrated success in equestrian sport, with a pupil achieving an impressive 4th place at the St. Paul’s Oughterard Interschools Showjumping Competition, the first year Newcastle NS participated in the event. A Special Grandparents’ Day As part of Catholic Schools Week, the school warmly welcomed grandparents of Junior and Senior Infants for a joyful celebration. The day included prayers and blessings, beautiful performances of “The Rattlin’ Bog” and “She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain,” and even a ukulele performance by the children. Handmade cards, refreshments and classroom visits made the day truly memorable for all involved.
