Student Council Achievements 2025/2026: - Improvements to school garden & wellbeing area - Visit to a local polytunnel for advice on how to care and improve our school polytunnel. - Securing an Educational & Sustainability Grant of €2500 to make raised triangular beds for planting, picnic benches and a solar powered bird box. - Saving 100 kg of batteries from landfill as part of our battery recycling campaign Thanks to Kathleen Cannon and the team from RSS for their assistance. The school was delighted to announce in October that our planning application for an astroturf pitch at the back of the school had been granted. We look forward to making this vision become a reality in the years ahead. PGA (Parents/Guardians Association ) Our PGA deserves huge credit for a very well run Christmas Fair in the hall in December. There was a fantastic response to our request for volunteers, home-baking and raffle prizes as well as a very generous contribution towards our 50/50 cards and raffle. There was a great array of activities on offer - music, tombola, arts & crafts, face painting, treats and a visit from Santa! A total of €2521.10 was raised for the school including proceeds from the 50/50 raffle. The money raised is being used to subsidise buses to swimming & school events as well as purchasing yard equipment for our junior classes
