Athenry Rounders Club delivered one of the most memorable seasons in its history in 2025 — crowned by an unforgettable All Ireland triumph. In August at the Meath GAA Centre of Excellence, Athenry’s Minor Women once again proved why they rank among the elite of Irish rounders. Facing old rivals Emo in the All-Ireland Final, the Galway side fell 17–6 behind after the opening inning. Lesser teams might have folded. Athenry responded. With grit and composure, they clawed their way back into contention. By the third inning the score stood at 28–25. When the sides finished level at 34–34, the final moved into extra innings, the tension rising with every delivery. Three outs stood between Athenry and back-to-back All Ireland titles. They delivered.

While the Intermediate Mixed Team faced a challenging championship campaign, the determination within the squad signals strong intent for the season ahead. 2026 – BE PART OF IT Athenry Rounders Club isn’t just about medals and trophies — though 2025 proved we know how to win. We play. We compete. We win. And we enjoy every minute of it. Rounders is fast, skilful, and exciting. It builds speed, agility, hand-eye coordination, and decision-making under pressure — transferable skills that benefit players across many sports. It sharpens awareness, improves teamwork, and builds confidence. As a non-contact sport, rounders is accessible, inclusive, and ideal for players of all backgrounds and experience levels.
