The Club players would like to sincerely thank everyone who took part in the very successful fundraising table quiz and draw held recently in John F. Murphy’s Bar. It was a fantastic turnout and a great night of questions, answers and community spirit. A special word of thanks to quizmaster Juno Barrett and his enthusiastic assistants, who helped make the event run so smoothly. The Club is now moving forward with the next phase of their development. In the coming weeks, a contractor will begin work on the new Astro pitch and ball wall in Carnaun. In conjunction with the Green Club Committee, members of both St Mary’s GAA Club and Athenry Camogie Club held two very successful gear swap days.
