Repair or replace the leaking faucet or valve.

Leakage caused by worn or defective washers or seals is your maintenance responsibility.

Defective plumbing fixtures, appliances or trimfittings.

Fixtures, appliances or fittings shall comply with their manufacturer’s standards as to use and operation.

Bathtubs and showers should be installed properly according to themanufacturer’s guidelines.

Repair bathtub or shower leak as necessary tomeet the Construction Performance Guidelines . Proper repair can be achieved by sealing areas around bathtubs and showers. Builder/Seller is not responsible for leaks related to the use of curtains in bathtubs and showers and for leaks associated with bathtubs and shower doors that have been properly installed. Over time, tub and shower seals may leak because of daily wear and tear and exposure tomoisture. You are responsible for maintaining the caulk, shower door sweep and other seals.

10.2 WATER SUPPLY

Staining of plumbing fixtures due to high iron, manganese or other mineral content inwater.

Some noise can be expected from the water pipe systemdue to the flow of water. However, the supply pipes should not make the pounding noise called “water hammer.”

Correct to eliminate “water hammer.”

Noises due to water flow and pipe expansion are not considered deficiencies.
