• The tuition and fees it charges a student for completing the program within its designated normal time, along with the typical costs for books and supplies, as well as the cost of room and board • The placement rate for students completing the program within a given occupation. • The median loan debt incurred by students who completed the program, including debt incurred between Title IV and private sources. Schools would also be required to provide the Department of Education with information
on student debt levels and incomes after program completion.
The gainful employment rules continue to evolve as the Department of Education works to finalize the initially proposed rules in consideration of comments that have been made on the legislation through the negotiated rulemaking process.
