Jettys Journal - December 2017
FROM THE MANAGERS DESK
Wow! Where has this year gone? It seems like I blinked and we are heading full steam into December, you all know what this means… its almost Christmas again, my favourite season!
With this in mind, we will be holding a Christmas Lights competition again for everyone in the Village. There will be 1 st & 2 nd place prizes given. So get planning and help us add lots of Christmas bling to the Village and dazzle our visitors this festive season. This year it will be open to a community vote and you will find a voting box in the office along with voting slips. You will need to make a note of the site/s that you wish to vote for and come to the office to fill out the voting slip, fold it and place it in the Voting box. The winner will be announced closer to Xmas. Its been so busy around here lately I hardly know where to start, its so nice to finally see all the upgrades to the Community and I love seeing happy faces walking around the Village, as I write the roads are being done and hopefully will be finished very soon. As you know the Community Hall is open for use, it’s not quite where we would like it to be, but for now it is open for use. Can I ask everyone to please continue to book the Hall through the Office as we need to keep an eye on the scheduled activities so we can work around the residents to complete the rest of the works scheduled. The new sun lounges have been delivered to the pool area and I hope to see lots of people making good use of them over the coming months. Unfortunately we were not able to get our hands on as many as we would have liked, but some is always better than none.
By the time you are reading this the turf will be laid and hopefully with some TLC will be growing well and the area between the pool and hall will be looking good.
Please make sure you keep your cars and other vehicles in your allocated parking area, with the extra people in the Village over the coming season, we need to make sure all roads are kept clear for safety reasons and if I could also remind you to drive extra careful and keep an eye out for children and other road users during the busy time.
The boys have promised they will have the Village looking amazing for the Christmas period, please be patient while they work their way through.
I would like to take this time to thank all the Residents at Jettys for an amazing year—it’s been a steep learning curve for me and I thank you all for your support, encouragement and advice.
To my staff members I want to say a massive THANK YOU! Change is never easy but we did it and I look forward to working hard with you all next year.
From me and my family, to you and yours, I wish you all the very best— happy times, good food, good company and most importantly, good fortune.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all,
