TECHNICAL SPECIALIST- GRANT SUPPORT ASSOCIATE

Characteristics of Work:

The Technical Specialist - Grant Support Associate functions in a programmatic role for assigned grant programs. This work involves assisting project management staff with conducting various grant program planning activities; conducting meeting preparations and logistics; collecting program data and information; disseminating program information to subgrantees and the general public as directed by project managers; purchasing program supplies and materials; participating in and assisting with programmatic site visits when directed; assisting with processing subgrantee reimbursements as directed; and assisting with preparing grant progress reports and grant applications as directed.

Assists with planning various grant program activities based upon funded proposal(s); Assists with planning and conducting various grant program meetings and special events; Researches costs for ordering various grant-related supplies and commodities;

4. Assists with preparing purchase requisitions and contracts for various grant-funded activities; 5. Assists with collection data and information for preparing grant progress report and grant applications; 6. Assists with maintaining project websites and databases by entering project-related data and information; 7. Assists with conducting project site visits; 8. Assists with processing subgrant reimbursement requests as directed by project managers; 9. Assists with responding to public requests for information via telephone, emails, and website inquiries; and 10. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED and five (5) years of related business/management and/or administrative experience or two (2) years of higher education in a business/management field may be substituted for one year of business/management experience.

Special Experience Preferred:

Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills
