PEI Liquor Celebrate Summer 2023
1. How did Upstreet Craft Brewing get started?
3. Are there any PEI connections with your products (ingredients, names, etc)?
Upstreet got its start when three young entrepreneurs came together to start a business that would balance purpose with profit. Founders Mitch Cobb and Mike Hogan knew that community had to be at the center of their business, and wanted it to support and give back to the Island that embraced them. Upstreet officially opened its doors on June 26, 2015, and has a line of craft beer, Rewind Vodka seltzers and craft cocktails, East Coast Craft Sodas, and Libra Non Alcoholic Craft Beer. We're refreshing the beverage community with two locations in Charlottetown - the Upstreet Taproom and Craft Beer Corner. Upstreet is the only business on PEI to gain B Corp Certification - a global movement of leaders that find innovative ways to use a business as a force for good. Our B Corp certification is the cornerstone of every decision we make as a company, and is deeply rooted in our culture. We keep the best interest of the greater community at heart when making decisions. Following our B Corp status, Upstreet also founded the Do Good Fund in 2016, in which we donate 10% of sales to local arts and community initiatives. Since it was founded, we’ve donated over $500,000 back into our community. 2. What sets Upstreet apart from other producers on PEI?

Since we launched in June of 2020 (what a time to launch a seltzer!), we’ve expanded the line to include mix packs, a 473mL + higher alcohol version called Rewind Juiced, and Rewind Craft Cocktails. pasture for grazing animals and that is why our Commons label features a horse - an homage to the fields that lay here before. It would be hard to find a product that doesn't have a touch of PEI influence! One of our most popular products for example is Commons Pilsner. The name pays homage to our brewery site - in the 18th century, this area was known as "The Commons", the outskirts of Charlottetown proper. The Commons was a communal 5.
