Several approvals allow for more flexible installation options. ÖLFLEX ® CHAIN TM is equipped with a specially formulated thermoplastic polymer jacket and multiple international approvals. In particular, UL listings MTW (Machine Tool Wire) and TC-ER (Tray Cable-Exposed Run) allow for flexible, standards-compliant use of the cable in industrial machines, as well as fixed installation in open cable trays with one and the same cable. Due to the c(UL) CIC/TC approval it is also a valuable alternative for Canadian tray applications. One dynamic cable solution for track and tray. This versatile new cable adds yet another valuable option to Lapp’s continuous flex product range. ÖLFLEX ® CHAIN TM features a special stranding technique which utilizes shorter lay lengths to increase its flexibility over other tray cables. Together with Class 6 extra-fine copper wire, this cable can be used in constantly moving applications in cable tracks involving up to 5 million bending cycles, as well as in moderate wind turbine torsion applications involving rotational angles of ± 150° per meter. With the shielded CY version, tin-plated copper braiding provides reliable protection against electromagnetic influences and ensures compliance with EMC regulations.
