Discussion

After creating a macro, save it before you can test or run it. When you attempt to save a macro or close the Macro window without saving, a Save As dialog box opens with the default name of Macro# (numbered consecutively). It is best to use a short name that clearly indicates the function of the macro. The name Macro1 , for example, does not mean much to other users who may be working with the macro.

The name that you give the macro appears in the Macros object list in the Navigation Pane .
