Step-by-Step
Change the chart type.
If you have not been using the Sales Data report, open the Sales Data 1 report in Design view.
If necessary, open the Microsoft Graph window.
Steps
Practice Data
1. Select the Chart menu. The Chart menu appears.
Click Chart
2. Select Chart Type... .
Click Chart Type...
The Chart Type dialog box opens.
3. Select the Standard Types tab.
Click the Standard Types tab, if necessary
The Standard Types page appears.
4. Select the desired chart type from the Chart type list box. The Chart type is selected, and the Chart sub-types appear on the right in the Chart Type dialog box. 5. Select the desired Chart sub-type . The Chart sub-type is selected and a description appears below the sub- types. 6. Click and hold the Press and Hold to View Sample button. A sample of a chart with the selected type and sub-type appears in the Sample box.
Click Doughnut
Click Exploded Doughnut (the bottom chart sub- type)
Click and hold
7. Release the mouse button.
Release the mouse button
The Sample box disappears, and the sub-types appear in the Chart Type dialog box again .
8. Select OK .
Click
The Chart Type dialog box closes, and the chart is formatted with the new type and sub-type.
