CAKES YOUR WAY – $45 Decorate your cake your way with Theresa at the Covington Cake Cafe. An interactive and fun filled event where you will learn cake decorating techniques that you would not normally do at home. All ingredients and supplies are provided and no experience is required. You will decorate a cake to take home learning frosting and piping techniques to decorate a spring theme cake. Registration deadline is April 16.

WHITMAN’S POETRY – $45 A powerful experience to witness poetry spun into song by one of today’s leading musical visionaries at the Moss Center. Jazz composer and pianist Fred Hersch’s Leaves of Grass celebrates the poetry of Walt Whitman and an eight piece ensemble present Whitman’s works with grace, emotion and lyrical sweetness. Dinner will be on your own at the Farmhouse Restaurant. Registration deadline is February 26.

DOGWOOD FESTIVAL – $12 Dogwood Saturday features food, craft show, entertainment stages, auto show, petting zoo, crowning of the Vinton Dogwood Queen, and parade. Spend time exploring this unique festival on the grounds of the Vinton War Memorial, churches and Vinton Library. Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. There will be considerable walking to take in the entire festival grounds. Registration deadline is April 18.
