He received numerous honors and recognition and improved his game to help his team earn a good playoff seeding. This improvement was driven by his defensive efforts in support of his outstanding offensive numbers. Antetokounmpo turned in a season that included top 20 finishes in the league in blocks (fifth with 151), steals (ninth with 131), and defensive rebounds (13th with 558). This effort not only helped his Bucks win, but it also helped Antetokounmpo secure a spot on an NBA All-Defensive team for the season.
