Picture files are usually large. When a large picture is sent as an attachment, it usually slows down sending and receiving the message. Outlook includes a picture option for resizing a picture for faster transmission.

After you attach a picture to a message click the File tab. Notice the Image Attachments section at the top. The default option is Do not resize images which sends the original picture. To resize the picture, you can select Resize large images when I send this message .

Procedures

1. Create a new message and attach a picture file. 2. Click the File tab . 3. Select the desired picture option. 4. Select the Send button.

Step-by-Step

Use picture attachment options.

Create a new message to a fellow student with the subject, My vacation . Attach the Falls27 picture file from the student data folder. Notice that the size of the picture is 65 KB .
