3. Click at the top of the message window A shortcut menu appears.

4. Select the Show in Groups command. The messages are grouped or not grouped accordingly.

Click Show in Groups.

Practice the Concept: Display the message list in a 1 Line, 2 Lines, and 3 Lines format by clicking the Message Preview button on the Ribbon. You can also group messages in a single-line format, using Step 4. In the previous exercise.

Use the Arrange By shortcut menu to arrange the messages by Conversation . If you have a message displaying a arrow to the left of the message heading, click the arrow two times to expand and contract the items below. Then, click the Received column heading to arrange the messages by date.

Display the Reading Pane on the right.

Discussion

Conversation view is a great way to quickly organize messages into groups of related emails, especially when a simple sort doesn’t give you the information you need at a glance. Conversation view is indicated by a small arrow to the left of the subject for the most recent email in the conversation.
