NOTE You can automatically empty the Deleted Items folder each time you exit the program by selecting the File tab and the Options command. In the Options dialog box, select the Advanced section and select the Empty the Deleted Items folder upon exiting option.

Procedures

1. Select the File tab and Options . 2. Select the Advanced section. 3. Go to the Outlook start and exit and place a check mark in Empty “Deleted Items” Folder command. 4. Click OK .

If necessary, delete a message.

1. Right-click on the Deleted Items folder . The Error! Bookmark not defined. . 2. Select the Empty Folder command. A Microsoft Office Outlook warning box opens, prompting you to verify the deletion.

Right-click on the Folder.

Click Empty Folder

3. Select Yes .

Click

The Microsoft Office Outlook warning box closes and the items are deleted from the Deleted Items folder.

Open the Deleted Items folder, if necessary, to verify that it is empty.
