- a constant search for socially responsible materials and methods At MASCOT the social, environmental and economic aspects are closely linked. There must be quality in all areas. A continuous proof that we ensure quality in all processes is MASCOT’s ISO 9001 certification. ISO 9001 is a certification of our quality management system. It has – just as MASCOT – a special focus on improving the ability to consistently deliver products and services that meet customers requirements. We are continuously audited to ISO 9001 by external auditors. We have the ambition that we need to do more than just meet our customers’ requirements. We also have a responsibility to be foresighted regarding the possibilities of taking an extra step in sustainable and social conditions. Because of this, we established, as one of the first, our own production of workwear in Vietnam and Laos, so we can ensure the quality of both our products and our working conditions. The social aspect has been extremely important throughout the establishment of our own production. Naturally, we also meet the environmental requirements with recycling of residual waste, waste water treatment, etc. The products are also continuously quality assured. The workwear is labelled with Oeko-Tex ® Standard 100, a quality label that controls the threshold values for health hazardous substances in the materials. In addition, a large portion of the fabric we use in manufacturing workwear has been produced with ISO 14001. ISO 14001 is an environmental control system that guarantees controlled processes in the processing, dyeing and finishing of woven textiles. We also use recycled materials, as is the case with our CLIMASCOT ® lining. Another example is our trousers with TENCEL ® , an environmental fibre derived from trees in sustainable plantations. As a textile manufacturer, we bear a continuous responsibility to minimize the environmental impact of production. Among other things, we are very careful about selecting suppliers and we run continuous checks of our suppliers. Above all, we produce workwear of a high quality with a long lifespan - the workwear lasts a long time, and avoids unnecessary consumption of resources.
