VI. YOUR LEAVE

HOLIDAYS

Regular full-time team members will be eligible for holidays based on the following schedule:

New Year's Day

Labor Day

Martin Luther King’s Birthday

Thanksgiving Day

Good Friday Memorial Day

Day after Thanksgiving

Christmas Eve Christmas Day

Independence Day

If you are scheduled to work on a holiday, you will receive pay for the holiday plus your regular pay, or , receive an additional day off as your holiday, to be taken within the same pay week as the holiday. You will receive eight (8) hours holiday pay at your base hourly rate of pay.

To be eligible for holiday pay, you must work your last scheduled day before the holiday and return to work your first scheduled workday after the holiday. Your supervisor will make every reasonable effort to spread the responsibility of working holidays evenly to all team members throughout the year. Part-time, casual and temporary team members who work on a holiday will be paid one and one-half times (1-1/2) their base hourly wage.

BIRTHDAY DAY OFF

All full and part-time team members will have the opportunity to take a paid day off during their birthday month. This day off should be scheduled in advance and coordinated with your supervisor to make sure staffing needs are met. This benefit is a “use or lose” benefit with no “pay out” option during employment or at termination.
