Russian rolling

Danieli is to supply two of its H3 (High productivity, High quality, High efficiency) rollingmills to Russia. Themills will be installed and put into operation during 2020. Abinsk Electric Steel Works Ltd ordered a 600,000 tons per year H3 wire rod line to be installed at Abinsk, in the Krasnodar region. The new mill will produce welding wire and CHQ grades, wire rod coils and micro- alloyed rebar for construction applications. Novorossiysk Rolling Plant LLC ordered a 500,000 tons per year H3 wire rod mill to be installed at Novorossiysk, also in the Krasnodar region. The mill will roll 150x150 billets into 5.5mm to 16mm diameter wire rod and deformed wire rod, in coils weighing up to 2.1 tons.

The Danieli structure control system includes a water-cooling line suitable for wire rod quenching and controlled cooling, while the oil-film bearing loop-laying head, rotary reforming tube and easy-down system guarantee an ideal coil pattern. Danieli H3 mills are usually supplied with Danieli Centro combustion reheating furnaces, equipped with ultra-low NOx emission, flat MAB flameless burners. Danieli Automation provides process control, power and instrumentation for in- line tracking and product monitoring, and the HiLine optical system for rolling guide set-up, and for rolls and finishing blocks alignment.
