Ellen Moore New PCSC Commissioner PORTLAND, Ore. -

The PCSC Mountain Division consists of six schools located in states around California . Portland State is part of the original PCSC. Idaho State, Northern Colorado, Seattle Uni– versity, Utah University, and Weber State Uni– versity combine to make the new Mountain Division as part of the PCSC expansion.

Prior to joining the WCC, Moore was the Programs and Project Coordina– tor at San Jose State from August 2005-October 2006. She helped in the redesign and launch of the athletic department's new web site and served as the tournament manager for the 2007 NCAA Men's Basketball West Regional. Moore graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech in May 2001. As the former Ellen Styer, she was a four-year letter winner for the Yellow Jacket softball team from 1998-2001. In 2001, she served as team captain and earned Academic All-Atlantic Coast Confer– ence Honor Roll honors in 2001. Moore also still holds the school single-season record for fielding assists with 153 in 1999, while playing second base and shortstop. Cal State Bakersfield, Idaho State, Northern Colorado, Seattle, Utah Val– ley and Weber State will play its first season in the PCSC in 2010.

new commissioner of the Pacific Coast Softball Conference, PCSC President Mark Orr announced Monday. Moore becomes the PCSC's second commis– sioner, replacing Wendy Guthrie, who served in the post since the confer– ence started play in 2003. "We are extremely pleased to an– nounce the hiring of Ellen as the new commissioner of the Pacific Coast Softball Conference;' said Orr, who is also the Director of Athletics at Saint Mary's. "Ellen has gained significant experience in conference admin– istration, and was an outstanding student-athlete in the sport of softball at Georgia Tech'.' In her previous position as the Direc– tor of Championships at the wee, she coordinates five annual wee Championships, including the men's and women's basketball tourna– ments. Moore comes to the PCSC as the conference is set to expand to a two-division, 12-team format for the 2010 season.
