Whitney Strain, Athletics Operations Manager Whitney Strain is in her second year with USD, and first in the position of athletic operations manager. Whitney worked as the administrative assistant in the athletics administrative office for the past year. In addition to her regular duties of helping to run the main office, Whitney took on additional challenges working in compliance and eligibility certification, as well as in opera– tions- serving as operations assistant during the 2009 WCC Basketball Tournament in Las Vegas. Before coming to USD,Whitney was the championships and marketing assistant at the West Coast Conference office and did events management for Stanford University. Whitney graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications and a B.B.A. in Marketing.While at Iowa she competed on the women's soccer team. In her new position, Whitney will assume responsibility for all game-day operations, including supervision of security, parking, visiting team practices and locker rooms, game-day staffing, scheduling of officials, scheduling athletic facilities, and assisting with ticketing and event information. Justine Coliflores, Softball Athletic Trainer Justine has been a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the University of San Diego since August 2008. Her Primary sport assign– ments are women's soccer, swimming and diving, men 's rowing, and softball. While completing her undergraduate degree Justine worked as an ath letic training student at Grossmont Commun ity Col lege in the fa ll of 2006. Her primary sports were football and women 's volleyball. Justine then completed her clinical rotation at USD from spring 2007 to spring 2008 where she worked with softball, swimming and diving, women 's soccer, and baseball. She wi ll be attending graduate school for Kinesiology, with a special– ization in rehabilitative sciences, at San Diego State University. Born in Riverside, CA but later moved with her parents Luisito and Veronidia, and younger brother Lexie-John, to Corona, CA. She currently resides in San Diego which she now calls home. Professional Certifications: Certified Athletic Trainer, American Heart Association CPR/AED Certified

Stephane Rochet, Dir. ofAthleticPerformanceTraining Stephane Rochet assumed the position of Head Strength of Conditioning Coach at USD in January 2007.

Prior to coming to USD, Rochet was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at UCLA (1999-2001 ), Indiana University (2001- 2003) and UC-Riverside (2004).

Rochet is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), USA Weightlifting, CrossFit and the Rus– sian Kettlebell Challenge. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary and Master's degree from Ohio University.

Ryan Mccann, Media Relations Coordinator Ryan McCann is in his fifth year as the media relations coordinator. His duties include radio and TV liaison, producing media guides, press releases, brochures and game programs for numerous Torero sports. McCann also updates and maintainsthe athletic website for the sports that he is responsible for. Prior to USD, Mccann spent one year in South Korea teaching English to elementary and middle school students and was a SID student assistant at Linfield College. In 2004, McCann received his B.A. in Mass Communications from Linfield College.
