Adolf Hitler lived in Germany. He was a Nazi leader. Hitler wanted to kill Jewish people.

Amsterdam

Anne was Jewish. Jewish people in Germany were scared. Anne’s family moved to Amsterdam.

Then, the Nazis invaded Amsterdam! The Nazis made Jewish people wear a yellow star on their clothes.

Then, Jewish people were sent away on trains. They were sent to concentration camps.

Anne Frank’s family hid here. Today it is a museum.

Anne’s family had to hide from the Nazis. They hid in a secret part of a building.

Anne’s family hid for 2 years! Anne wrote in a diary. She wrote about her feelings.

Anne, her mother, and Margot died at the concentration camp.
