While staying true to the typical California ranch style home, Palo Alto offers magnificent estate homes and high- rise apartment communities. Activities Palo Alto has a remarkable number of city-owned parks, and almost 4,000 acres of open space such as Baylands, Esther Clark, and Pearson-Arastradero Parks.
