Cold welding video

British company PWM, which designs, manufactures and supplies high-performance cold welding equipment, has introduced a new video demonstration of its best-selling M101 manual cold welder. The video, which can be viewed at www.pwmltd.co.uk, shows how the M101 can be used to weld non-ferrous materials quickly and easily without the need for heat, flux or fillers. The M101, like all of PWM’s cold welders, is designed and built in-house. It will weld copper wire 1m to 3mm (0.04" to 0.141") and aluminium 1mm to 5mm (0.04" to 0.197"), and can be used on a workbench or supplied with a trolley, enabling the operator to wheel it to the work area. No set-up time is required and the weld cycle takes only seconds to complete. “The M101 has been one of our best-selling machines since we launched it in 1986, because it is robust, low maintenance and very simple to operate,” said Steve Mepsted, PWM’s managing director. “The M101 produces strong, consistent welds on round and profile wire, helping manufacturers avoid downtime, reduce material waste, and improve productivity.” Video demonstrations of PWM’s larger P1500, P1000 and EP500 rod welders, and its HP200 portable welder can also be viewed on the website.
