Robert Benjamin Johnston, MD is the Director of Convenient Care at the Christie Clinic. Convenient Care has

locations in Champaign, Urbana, Mahomet, and Danville and a yearly census is over 50,000.

Dr Johnston is board certified residency trained emergency medicine physician and has worked at multiple healthcare

organizations from Northwestern Healthcare to Down East Community Hospital in Machias, Maine. He was a

member of a single contact emergency medicine group at a 25,000 census Level II trauma center, in a rural county in

Illinois. Dr Johnston hold an undergraduate degree in Russian Language and Literature. He went to the University of

Illinois College of Medicine and did his emergency medicine residency at the the Christ Hospital emergency medicine

program in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Dr Johnston was raised in three areas: Hawai’i, rural Illinois, and the south side of Chicago. He currently resides in

Morris, Illinois, work in Champaign, and is rehabbing a house in Bloomington, Illinois. His wonderful family includes his

wife Leisa, and two children Mac and Finley. Due to the charity of his children, his family also includes a collection of

cats with attitudes, missing limbs, traumatic malocclusions, and a barn cat that his wife didn’t want that comes

around daily because Finley feels sorry for it and feeds it.
