It’s also fitting in this issue of wiredInUSA with Houston-based Clean Line Energy Partners building a $2bn, 700-mile transmission line from Kansas to Sullivan County, Indiana, which connects the eastern states. The exact path of the ‘Grain Belt Express’ has yet to be confirmed, but you can catch up with all the news on page 9. Elgin Fastener Group has a new chief operating officer in the form of Michael A Wilson. You can read all about this new appointment on page 16. It was open house in August for Alcan Cable – part of Rio Tinto Alcan – when it opened its new distribution center in Mexico City (page 18), and it was also celebration time south of the border when Gibbs Wire and Steel Company celebrated the first anniversary of its service center in Queretaro, Mexico
