A message from The President

Open up your calendar to take note of the following events. I encourage you to come out and meet with existing friends and meet new members. · On Saturday, March 18th, A Night in Miami will be an energetic evening. Plans include Latin food stations and live music by Los Tres Amigos. It is time to break out your old Gloria Estefan CD’s for a little warm up. · April 22nd is Family Movie Night in the Plaza. This event will include a food truck, a full bar, concessions, a moon bounce, games and music before Honey I Shrunk the Kids. · Our most popular spring event is the Annual Member-Guest Tournament . The dates this year are Wednesday, April 26th through Saturday, April 29th. We have over 112 teams signed up currently. I expect both the golf and the after parties to be at a very high level. In other exciting food and beverage news, Legacy Grab & Go Dinner will be returning on Mondays and Tuesdays in March. Also in March, breakfast at Greystone returns. Cellar 91 and Legacy will offer a full a la carte menu from 7am-11am. Also making a grand return will be the Legacy Sunday Brunch served until 2pm beginning this March.

One of the most popular events in Alabama will occur at Greystone from May 17-21. The Regions Tradition tournament (benefitting Children’s of Alabama) is loved by the professional participants, the media, and our community. But most importantly, it is a great opportunity for our members to enjoy the festivities, volunteer or just be proud of Greystone. Regions Tradition planning is in full swing. For members, Cellar 91 and the entire patio will be exclusively for Greystone members and their guests. We’re finalizing the details now, so look for an exciting announcement in a few days. Hospitality and client entertainment options are still available. Contact Liz Leckemby at lleckemby@brunoeventteam.com or (205) 262-2828 regarding hospitality packages. The success of the Regions Tradition also depends on community volunteers to make it happen. Please encourage your friends and family to consider volunteering. The Volunteer Package includes a tournament polo, headwear, lanyard, weeklong credential, and five (5) Good- Any-One-Day Grounds tickets. For Greystone Member volunteers, the $60 Volunteer Package fee will be waived. In summary, please remember to RSVP as soon as possible to our events to improve the planning and preparation by our staff. Thanks again for the opportunity to serve as your president.

Russ Hale Club President

Dear Members, As we all know, springtime in the South is a wonderful time of the year. The golf courses will improve each day, tennis events are being planned, and our staff has prepared a wonderful line up of social and entertainment events for all of us to enjoy.

As the weather warms up, I encourage you to utilize our Club. There are several ways to get involved. You can inquire about a Member Golf Trip or a Member Trip to the U.S. Open (tennis) in New York. You can get a massage, have your car washed, get your clothes tailored, or get a haircut – all available at our Club.

General Manager DAVE PORTER Dear Members, It is a very exciting time at Greystone! Spring is upon us and we have so much planned for the year. The staff has been developing more opportunities for you to enjoy the Club in a variety of ways, while improving our core competencies of Golf, Dining, Tennis, Fitness, and Aquatics. I encourage you to read as many of our emails as possible so you don’t miss the great programs and events being offered. We want to reach you in different ways, so we will be using social media more frequently via Instagram and Facebook. In addition, we will be offering an opt- in opportunity to receive texts from the club regarding large events and we will begin sending video clips from the staff to convey information. We have not receivedmuch feedback with Clubs within the Club so we will begin a few to get us started. Our team will kick off “The Arts Club,” which will include theatre, music, photography, and studio art. “The Craft Beer Club,”will include tastings at the Club, tours and tastings at local breweries, speakers, and private pint program. “The Game Night Club” will include Bunko, Beginner Bridge Lessons, Mahjong, Pictionary, and more. We are continuing to expand our services to the membership. We still have a tailor on Saturday mornings at Founders, men’s haircuts on Saturdays at Founders, and now car washes every Saturday from 8am-2pm at both clubhouses. The big one is coming in April: Pizza Delivery! If you live inside Greystone, we will deliv- er pizza to your home. Also, our takeout food program will be vastly improved with a dedicated phone line for pizza and takeout food orders. We have changed the packaging for our takeout food to improve heat retention, and quality.

Greystone Adult Wiffle Ball League We’re excited to announce Greystone’s first ever wiffle ball league! Form your own team of 7 players and contact us at ccarver@greystonecc.com by noon on April 3rd with the names of each member on your team. Wh e n : 6:30pm Tuesdays in April Wh e r e : Founders dr i v i ng range $ 2 5 p e r p e r s o n · Number of teams will dictate how many weeks in the season. · Player receives t-shirt and complimentary draft beer while playing. · Season will conclude with a championship and prizes.

We have so many amazing events coming up, so please don’t miss out. Check out the great fun in this issue. We have something for all ages and interests. Less than 100 days and we will be hosting the Regions Tradition again. Our second year having the event at Greystone will be even more special now that we have a year of experience under our belt. We can be even better hosts to the PGA Tour Champions Professionals, Public, Sponsors, and most of all you. I want to take a moment to thank Todd Makofski for taking on so many unusual responsibilities to make us a full lifestyle Club. Todd is overseeing our youth baseball program, adult wiffle ball league, kids’ night out program (coinciding with adult social events) ballroom dancing, and youth martial arts classes. Keep an eye out for this information surfacing in detail in the coming weeks. The staff and I are very excited to show how many great things we have in store for you and your families. I am excited to see you around the Club soon! Best regards,

My name is Alyssa West & I graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelors of Science in Education and concentration in Exercise & Sport Science and a Minor in Nutrition, August 2014. My passion for health began long before school though. I was impacted greatly in my early years of life when I realized proper exercise and nutrition was the solution to helping me beat juve- nile rheumatoid arthritis. Through staying active I eventually went into remission from the disease! I truly believe exercising for strength and endurance can completely change and alter mind and body of everyone, no matter where they are in life or what they are facing. I train my clients in a way that gives them the sense that their capabilities are limitless! My goal is to provide my clients with empowerment and love for themselves and to see the strength they hold can reflect all they do and aim to achieve. I am excited to be part of the Greystone Golf & Country Club team and can’t wait to meet you all!
