Project Name: Holly Poultry Project Location: 92121 Wicomico Street, Baltimore, MD Summary: Located within the Maryland Food Center Authority’s (MFCA ) 400 acre campus in Jessup, Maryland, this project consisted of new construction for a state- of-the-art seafood production and cold storage facility. There is 6,000 sf of refrigerated loading dock area to ensure cold chain compliance. There is 26,000 sf of racked freezer storage and 10,000 sf of racked cooler storage. There are several large viewing windows along the edge of the 10,000 sf of office area which look out over the 27,000 sf of production space. The production space contains both manual and mechanized fish processing and packaging areas. The project also contains a unique lobster containment tank, 3 large ice houses, dry storage area, and 7,500 sf of mezzanine available for future expansion. Seafood processed in this facility is shipped daily to eastern seaboard points from the Carolinas to New England.Glass Factory, where they used to make blue bottles for Bromo Seltzer. The newwarehouse will pursue LEED Silver certification in accordance with the Baltimore City Green Building Code.
