DRAINAGE

INFRASTRUCTURE

 Initiated a video inspection program for the stormwater sewer system in order to develop a prioritized repair and replacement program.

 Reinstated fish passage and spawning habitat on Bon Accord Creek by removing a historic dam and perched culvert; and

FUTURE INITIATIVES, GOALS & INITIATIVES

INCLUSION

 Completed a Municipal Type Servicing Agreement with the Semiahmoo First Nations for stormwater management through their community.

BUILT ENVIRONMENT & NEIGHBOURHOODS

 Continue development of a Coastal Flood Control Strategy, including:  Development of a benefit/cost analysis for each draft mitigation strategy;  Evaluating draft mitigation strategies;  Identifying potential funding partners;  Developing 3D flood models;  Undertaking Public Infrastructure Engineering Vulnerability Committee study on infrastructure;  Initiating transportation flood vulnerability study; and  Development of a costal monitoring system.  Improve drainage service to the older areas of Surrey to reduce flooding (East Bon Accord, Robson and Crescent Beach).

 Complete the development of servicing strategies for the Redwood Heights Neighbourhood Concept Plan area and the Newton Town Centre Local Area Plan;  Initiate the development of servicing strategies for Grandview Heights Area #3 Neighbourhood Concept Plan area and the South Campbell Heights Local Area Plan;
