M ost people have a good idea of what it means to be honest: Tell the truth. Don’t steal, lie, or cheat. Play fair.

Integrity is closely related. To have integrity , a person must be willing to be honest with themselves and with others about their feelings, desires, needs, fears, and thoughts. People who have integrity are known for being fair, ethical , and respectful. In other words, integrity is like honesty in action. It’s often described this way: Doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Greenpeace is an organization that works to protect the natural environment. It has millions of members who feel that it is morally and ethically right to protect the planet.
