SAINT FRANCIS SEMINARY Youngmen studying for thepriesthood for the Diocese of San Diego are a special part of the USD student body. St. Francis seminarians reside in the valley andshare community,prayer,and special formation programs while attending undergraduate classes oncampus. Their influence and presence is felt inmany areas,particularly enhancing campus ministry programs. Mark Pierce,Dan DiCarlo.Matt Spahr,Mark Sellers,Ed McNulty, Thane Hall,Bob Dennison.Darryl Blevins, Joseph Eberwein,Greg Garzynski.and Anthony DiAngelis. Theta Mu is the USDchapter of Pi Sigma Alpha,the nationalpolitical science honor society. There are around 300 university chapters nationwide and the total Pi Sigma Alpha membership is over90,000. The purpose of Theta Mu is to promote the discipline of Political Science. The goal of ThetaMu is to stimulateproductive interest in the field of political sci­ ence,government,public administra­ tion,and international relations; and to provide a forum for free intellectual dis­ cussions on campus. Its objective is to continue the searchfor knowledgeby way of speakers,presentations of papers,and the use of informal discussions while adhering to the principles of freedom of expression and thought.
