ALPHA DELTA PI
Alpha Delta Pi National Sorority was the first secret society for collegewomen. We were founded on May 15, 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia. Our colors are azure blue and white,and our flower isthe woodland vio let. Our mascot, Alphie the Lion, can be found in a numberof places, especiallyin the two floors of the ADPi house in the valley.We proudly wear our diamond pin close to our hearts. In AlphaDelta Pi, "We Live for Each Other." The ZetaPi Chapterat theUniversity of SanDiego, was founded onNovember 5, 1977. We were the first sorority on campus and remain an organization of ideal sisterhood and excellence. Sisters of ADPi can be found on the Orientation team, cheerleading at sports events, participating in intercollegiate aswell as intramural sports, being resident assis
tants, and holding important on-and off- campus jobs. ADPis arealso involved in fraternity little sister programs, profes sional fraternities and organizations, and Senior Citizen Outreachprograms. This year, aside from our theme dance in thefall, DiamondBall, andfraternal ex changes, ADPico-sponsored a"Pinstripe Party" with Sigma Pi and"Casino Night" with Phi Kappa Theta. We "rocked" for Oxfam in rocking chairs, sponsored events in the StudentUnion, and helped host Alcohol Awareness Week. Our in ternational philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House, where parents can stay with theirsick orterminally illchildren, and we raised funds throughout the year to support it. Alpha Delta Pi is a unique group made upof many individuals who work hard together and "Live for Each Other."
