Alcalá 1987

The 1987 men's tennis team looked impressive, withwhat coach Ed Collins described as the most balanced t he has ever had in his nine years of coaching USD tennis, Fiveof last year's top sixplayers were back. Leadinthe returnees was senior Jim McNamee, who helddown the number one position throughout last year. Also returning wer juniors Scott Patridge, Chris Smith, David Stewart and Curtis Dadian, posse USD's best singles and doubles r for last year.Also returning from the '8 squad were juniors Mark Farren and Rob MacKay, '86 WCAC Consolation doubles champion. Newcomers were junior Peter Choi and freshmen Dan Mattera and J.R.Edwards.
