Last summer thesquad travelled to Santa Barbara for USA Cheer­ leader camp where we arned superior awards for performance.We returned to USDto begina successful cheerleading season fullof new experiences. Under the direction of Coach Mark Mintzer, we learned new techniques and strengthened our discipline which helped us to become a more team-and crowd-orientedsquad. For basketball season we were joined by our malesquad which enabled us to tackle more difficult stunts and pyramids. Allinall, itwas an outstanding year. Songleaders: Carla DeFranco, Laura Samuels, Leslie Settle, Debbie Taylor, Kathi Tees and captain Karen Rosefeld. Yell leaders: Peter Ditzhazy, Marty Holbus, Jeff Kirkpatrick, Rocky Scales and captain Jack Kelly.
