ES Mi primer viaje de larga distancia me llevó a un Hotel RIU en el Caribe. Desde el primer momento me encantó la ubicación del resort y su servicio. Y desde entonces siempre me he vuelto a hospedar en hote- les del grupo español. Este año, el destino de mis vacaciones fue la Isla de Mauricio, la “Perla del océano Índico”. Como ya dijo Mark Twain: “Dios creó primero Mauricio y después el cielo”. Así que no es de extrañar que RIU haya abierto allí su primer resort en el hemisferio sur. Los hoteles Riu Le Morne y Riu Creole se encuentran en la península Le Morne al su- doeste de la isla. El paisaje está dominado por Le Morne Brabant, la imponente monta- ña declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 2008. En la playa me esperan aguas cristalinas y arena blanca; en las hamacas bajo las palmeras, puro relax. La oferta todo incluido 24 horas de ambos establecimientos abarca, además de los servicios más conocidos, programa de animación, aquagym, y un sinfín de deportes acuáticos. EN My first long-distance trip took me to one of RIU’s hotel’s in the Caribbean. I immediately fell in love with the setting of the resort and its service. Since then, I’ve always returned to the Spanish group’s hotels. This year, I spent my holidays on the island of Mauritius, the “Pearl of the Indian Ocean.” Not for nothing did Mark Twain remark: “Mauritius was made first and then heaven.” So it’s no surprise RIU chose Mauritius for its first resort in the southern hemisphere. The Riu Le Morne and Riu Creole hotels are located on the peninsula of Le Morne, to the southwest of the island. The setting is dominated by Le Morne Brabant, an imposing mountain declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008. The beach awaits with its crystalline waters and white sand. Hammocks are strung from the palm trees, o ering the ultimate in relaxation. The all-inclusive, 24-hour service at both properties includes all the usual amenities: an entertainment programme, aquatic and fitness centre, and as many water sports as you care to mention.

DE Meine erste Fernreise führte mich in ein RIU-Hotel in die Karibik. Schon damals war ich sofort angetan von der Lage des Resorts und vom Service. Seitdem habe ich immer wieder Häuser der spanischen Gruppe besucht. In diesem Jahr war Mauritius, die „Perle des indi- schen Ozeans“, mein Urlaubsziel. Wie sagte doch Mark Twain einmal: „Gott hat zuerst Mauritius erscha en und nach diesem Vorbild dann das Paradies“. So ist es nicht verwunder- lich, dass das spanische Unternehmen genau dort sein erstes Resort auf der Südhalbkugel erö net hat. Die beiden Hotels Riu Le Morne und das Riu Creole befinden sich auf der Halbinsel Le Mor- ne im Südwesten des Eilands. Die Traumkulis- se wird bestimmt durch den imposanten Berg Le Morne Brabant, der 2008 von der UNESCO in die Liste des Weltkulturerbes aufgenommen wurde. Am Strand warten kristallklares Wasser, weißer Korallensand und auf der Sonnenliege unter Palmen Entspannung pur.
