Hartpury College Prospectus

At Hartpury, learning is all about doing That means we help you take what you learn in the classroom and put it into practice using the world-class facilities on campus. Using our links with schools, universities and other partners across the UK and internationally, we offer exciting opportunities to include travel as part of your learning experience. Last year, students travelled to Japan, Iceland, Italy, Spain, France and Borneo. All of our animal, equine and agriculture programmes incorporate work placements in either the first or second year, allowing you to gain valuable experience in the industry and help prepare you for your future career. Our students get involved in many community projects, such as running a Rugby World Cup tag rugby tournament for local schools, repairing mountain bike trails on a conservation project in the Forest of Dean, taking part in a community tree planting and even delivering logs to local villagers at Christmas! These provide students with excellent opportunities for personal growth and development. Outside of your studies, we offer opportunities to get involved in a range of recreational activities ranging from futsal to cheerleading to becoming a Student Ambassador. A comprehensive range of sports also run throughout the week.

You’re never alone at Hartpury There’s a network of support staff to ensure that you make a smooth transition from school to college life. At Hartpury, you’ll be assigned a personal tutor as soon as you arrive, who is there to provide you with all the support you need to reach your academic goals. If you need a friendly ear, our Student Services and Wellbeing Teams can help with guidance and advice on everything from finance and accommodation to health and wellbeing.
