Hartpury College Prospectus

Josh Telling, watersports instructor | “I was the youngest person ever to get put through the PGL Senior Development Paddler scheme. After one season working for PGL in the Ardeche in France, I achieved my UKCC Level 2, 4 Star canoe and kayak. I’m now a 5 star white water kayak leader and soon I will be heading out to Zambia to kayak the Zambezi River - some of the biggest rapids in the world. I eventually want to start my own business running courses in paddle sports. I loved the course at Hartpury as it was fantastic being able to get out twice a week to do activities and not just be based in a classroom. Plus the contacts the lecturers have are such a big help.”

Jake Biggs, Watersports Centre Assistant Manager | “If you are looking for a pathway into the outdoor world then there is no better place to start than Hartpury. With great access to the lakes and the Forest of Dean, the College could not be better located.”

No trouble in paradise | A former Hartpury student is now plying his trade as a watersports instructor at the luxury resort of Necker Island - the millionaire’s playground created

by Sir Richard Branson. Located in the British Virgin Islands, Necker is one of the most exclusive holiday destinations in the world.
