WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

COURSES

You will study and develop practical skills in a variety of outdoor sports and learn about subjects such as assessing risk, environmental education, leadership, anatomy and physiology, leading outdoor and adventure activities and gaining expedition experience. You will be able to gain professional qualifications during your course. These include National Governing Body awards from the Royal Yachting Association, British Canoe Union, National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme and National Navigation Awards. Extra-curricular trips include the snow sports trip and windsurfing and sailing at coastal locations. We also use our strong links with local schools to enable you to deliver a range of outdoor activities to children and young people. Students in the second year of the Level 3 programme also have the opportunity to take part in a fully paid work placement with an outdoor adventure company in the UK or Europe. Our team of staff have a wide range of experience in the industry as instructors, coaches, lecturers and outdoor practitioners. Our knowledge, experience and passion for the outdoors will help you develop your skills and explore your career options.
