There is plenty of financial help available to ensure you get the most out of your time at college. The information below will provide you with a general guide to student finance and the assistance available. Students under 19 years of age on EU* and UK-based students under 19 years of age on 31 August in the year your course starts : • Tuition is free for the duration of the course (full-time courses only) • Registration and examination fees for main qualifications are free Students over 19 years of age: • You will have to pay your own tuition and examination fees. However, these could be waived by the college in certain circumstances, including if you are studying your first full Level 2 or 3 qualification or if you are unemployed. Further details are available on www.hartpury.ac.uk/college-finance Students aged 24 and over: • You will have to pay for your course in full, but you may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan that can help with the cost of your course if you are studying at Level 3 or above. • Find out more at www.gov.uk/advanced-learner-loan Educational visits charge | An annual £75 fee is payable for all Further Education students and covers the cost of outside visits, the engagement of special speakers and a contribution to the cost of administration. Is there any other financial assistance available? There are a number of funding options available to assist you through your course at Hartpury College. These are means tested on the basis of household income, and include (please see our website for more options): • Residential Support Funds | These funds are designed to support students with residential costs where a similar course is not available within reasonable daily travelling distance, and where the household income is low.
