©2018 of 120 6.6 Truth Values and Truth Tables Every statement is either true or false. The truth statement is represented by the letter T while false is represented by F. The truth or false value of the compound statement is deducted from the value of the simple statements. For instance: If a = I play violin is false If b = I study chemistry is true Then, the conjunction a ∧ b, that is, I play violin and study chemistry is false.
