Having support for yourself is crucial to long-term success. Our Caregiver Services offer a variety of ways to get the support you need to maintain your own life balance, health, and happiness. Lisa Engdahl, LSW, a social worker specifically working with the Scott County area, will be available to answer questions and provide support. AQUATICS The Shakopee Aquatics program utilizes the American Red Cross Learn to Swim Program. Please refer to the level descriptions on the city website ( ShakopeeMN.gov/aquatics ) to choose the one that most closely fits your child’s swimming ability. If you have questions on level placement, please call 952-233-9528. It is common for a child to repeat a level before advancing to the next level. SHAKOPEE COMMUNITY CENTER The Shakopee Community Center offers fitness equipment, gyms, walking track, an indoor aquatic center, indoor playground, fitness classes, and meeting space. It is also home to the Shakopee Ice Arena, Ṡ akpe ti Lounge, and the Shakopee Skate Park. Anyone under 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Learn more about these amenities on the city website at ShakopeeMN.gov/communitycenter . ■ Gymnasiums: Our two gyms feature courts for basketball, pickleball, and volleyball. Most time is dedicated to open gym. ■ Indoor Track: The three-lane walking/jogging track is free to use and available to the community year-round. ■ Cardiovascular & Strength Area: The fitness center features a variety of cardio equipment, weight machines and free weights. Participants must be 15 years of age to use the fitness center alone. 12–14-year-olds may use the fitness center with a parent/guardian after completing a fitness orientation. ■ Indoor Aquatic Center: The 22,300-square-foot aquatic center includes a zero-depth entry pool with play features and water slide, four-lane lap pool, whirlpool, and sauna. FITNESS ORIENTATIONS Get acquainted with our fitness equipment and fitness floor etiquette! A certified personal trainer will demonstrate and answer questions on the proper use of and setting adjustments for each machine. Fitness orientations are open to ages 12 and older. All youth 12 to 14 years old are required to take a fitness orientation prior to being allowed to use the fitness floor. Pre-registration is required; registration ends 24 hours prior to orientation. PARK SHELTERS & FACILITIES A variety of facilities located within the city’s parks and trail system are available for use by the public. For exclusive use of a facility for a given date and time, a shelter reservation is required and can be made by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at least seven days in advance of the proposed date(s) of usage. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Rental fees and deposit must be paid with the submission of the reservation form.

When in doubt, call the Recreation Hotline at 952-233-9502.
The Log Cabin is available for groups and private rentals, daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Reservation forms are available on the city website or online at ShakopeeMN.gov/ registration ■ Full day, Friday–Sunday and holidays ■ Hourly, Monday–Thursday ■ Reservations are now being accepted through January 31, 2026

THE COVE AT SANDVENTURE | 1101 ADAMS ST. S. The Cove is a bright and inviting rental space located within SandVenture Aquatic Park, featuring two walls of windows that provide ample natural light. This versatile room is ideal for meetings, celebrations, and social gatherings. It is equipped with a television and built-in speakers to support presentations or music. The space is tobacco-free and can comfortably accommodate up to 40 guests with tables and chairs provided. Food and Catering: All food and beverage service is provided exclusively through Tommy’s Malt Shop. ■ For groups of 15 or more, catering must be arranged in advance using Tommy’s special catering menu. ■ For groups of 14 or fewer, food will be served via table service from their regular menu. Please note that food and beverage costs are not included in the rental fee. Availability: The Cove is available for rental daily, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Half day rentals: 8 a.m.–1 p.m. or 3–8 p.m. | Full day rental: 8 a.m.–8 p.m. SHELTER RENTALS & FEES
