2. Select the Table Tools Layout tab. The Table Tools Layout tab is displayed. 3. Select the Convert to Text button in the Data group. The Convert Table To Text dialog box opens. 4. Under Separate text with , select the desired option. The option is selected.

The Convert Table To Text dialog box closes, and the table is converted to text.

Click anywhere to deselect the text.

Display the formatting marks. Notice that a tab now appears in place of each column marker and a paragraph mark has replaced each end of row mark. Hide the formatting marks. Close TABLENN.DOCX.

C REATING A T ABLE H EADING  D ISCUSSION

Create a table heading that appears on multiple pages. For example, if your table extends to two or more pages, you might want your column headings to repeat at the top of each page.

If you want to view the table heading on pages other than the first, switch to Print Preview or the Print Layout view.

NOTE Only create table headings from the top row or rows in the table. Create column headings by first selecting the rows you want to repeat, and then opening the Table Properties dialog box. On the Row page, select the Repeat as header row at the top of each page option.
