AWAKEN THE DAWN!

God was so real, so loving, so compelling to Jesus, “Abba!” came to His lips most naturally when He prayed. It spilled easily and without provocation from His lips in His teaching as well. Jesus was aware of His unusual inti- macy with God, but He never took it for granted. He maintained a disciplined lifestyle of prayer, yet He also spontaneously prayed whenever He sought God. From time to time we meet people who are truly people of prayer. One senses in them this same consciousness and authority that we are talking about. No one can habit- ually come into the presence of God and remain unchanged. Jesus shaped His life and ministry through prayer. If we pray, we too can know Him on intimate terms and become wonderfully shaped and molded by the hands of the Master Potter.
