A Vessel of Honor

This kind of temptation frequently besets Christians. Well-meaning people rob us of our true calling by putting us on committees, running us ragged with things to do, keeping us from the all-important thing: prayer. It becomes so easy to feel that all of our activities, contacts, connections, and phone calls mean we are successful. We need to seek the heavenly Father earnestly as David does: O God, Thou art my God; I shall seek Thee

earnestly; my soul thirsts for Thee, my flesh yearns for Thee, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

My soul clings to Thee; Thy right hand upholds me. 19
