FOCUS ON AWAKENING: Claim the awakening power of Christ’s kingdom in your life, your family, and Christ’s Body everywhere. “Thy kingdom come” Some theologians feel that the kingdom of God is the main theme of Jesus’ teaching and ministry. This is hard to refute. Jesus seemed to have a wonderful sense of king- dom timing which apparently was born out of His times of prayer. For Jesus the kingdom was presently operating and yet there were still future ramifications. Brad Young reminds us that the “the Hebrew language emphasizes the kind of action and not the time” and suggests that Jesus meant “May you continue establishing your Kingship” in this phrase. Be very practical in praying this part of the prayer. “Oh, God, let me be under Your rulership this day. Let your kingdom find expression in and through me.” Petition God to rule in your own personal life. I call out to God the names of my wife, my four children and their spouses, my five grandchildren, my great granddaughter and assorted relatives. I pray for our church staff by name, the city official, the president, and whoever else makes deci- sions that affect the society. “Oh, God, King of the uni- verse, let Your kingdom find expression in all of these areas.” I have prayed for several years to be under the Kingdom’s
