the globe in similar fashion, crying out tears for God’s kingdom and will to be wrought on earth. The Lord had gradually apprehended my heart. For me, early morning prayer has been the divine tool for enlarging my global vision to becoming a “world Christian.” We cannot pray The Lord’s Prayer continuously and seri- ously without being changed. When I pray for our local church, I ask God to help us be apostolic, prophetic, evan- gelistic, pastoral and teaching. 13 This kind of praying for kingdom activity to be within and outgoing from the church must produce results. In our case, it has kept our church mentally alert to foreign missions, and we have been able to start seven other churches here in the USA as well. It would not have happened, however, without the powerful objectives of Jesus’ prayer working daily in our hearts. 5. FOCUS ON PROVISION: Pray not only for personal needs; take time to feast in the provision of God’s Word! (Learn to “pray the Word.”) “Give us this day our daily bread” In a land where fast food restaurants abound, we find it difficult to say this prayer with sincerity. It is actually a cry of acknowledgment that our Father is the source for all our needs. I extend this prayer over my daily schedule. Whoever I expect to meet, whatever decisions must be made—all are brought under the provisions of this request. We do not beg, but we do follow Jesus’ teaching to bring our basic daily needs to our Father. Be specific, use names and places; include even the interruptions that
